About OSBC ENergy Program
Powered by Ampica Energy Solutions, this program connects OSBC members with an Ohio-based team focused on helping homes, businesses and manufacturing operations manage energy more strategically, reduce pricing through energy procurement programs, and improve long-term efficiency. The program delivers practical, service-driven support so members can make informed decisions with confidence.
Supply Savings
Our supply rate program partner, Ampica, negotiates for competitive fixed electricity and natural gas rates by shopping for multiple vetted suppliers. Ampica manages contract timelines to ensure members avoid rolling into expensive month-to-month variable rates.
Supply Rate Program Eligibility:
| Utility Type | Coverage Status |
| Investor-Owned Utilities | Available to members in major service areas, including AEP Ohio, AES, CenterPoint Energy, Columbia Gas, Duke Energy, Enbridge Gas (Dominion), Illuminating Co., Ohio Edison, and Toledo Edison. |
| Municipal & Electric Cooperatives | Municipal and co-op members already receive baseline local rates and are not eligible for supply contracting, but all OSBC members served by these utilities are eligible for efficiency projects and education services. |
Energy Usage Reductions
Through tailored efficiency evaluations, the energy program helps members identify practical equipment and power upgrades to reduce operating costs. Ampica supports each project with objective planning, vendor coordination, and strategies aligned with your operation’s seasonal needs.
For efficiency projects, let Ampica handle everything from start to finish.
This includes materials, labor, equipment, delivery, software, construction, installation, retrofitting, tools, and contractual work directly related to the project.
Controlling Energy Costs – Education Opportunities
The program offers a complimentary utility bill review to check rate codes, audit billing accuracy, and identify tax-exemption opportunities (for qualifying non-profits), and it safeguards members against utility scams and deceptive sales practices.
In addition, members can be connected to grants, rebates and tax credits for LED lighting, onsite solar and HVAC upgrades.
