The church sought to update its lighting – both interior and exterior – to reduce energy costs and maintain well-lit outdoor spaces.
Ampica offered this Church a low-cost solution that allowed them to upgrade their parking lot to LED lighting, reducing the number of kilowatt-hours used and drastically increasing nighttime exterior lighting levels. In addition, interior lights were upgraded to LED throughout the structure.
Overall, 806 lights were upgraded. Ampica was able to save this Church over 186,000 in kWh savings. Combined with total energy savings and maintenance savings was over $20,000.
By upgrading to LED, lighting maintenance costs were reduced, saving the airport $276,202 in fixing and updating old fixtures regularly. TPI was also able to help the client ‘opt out’ of their DSE 1&2 tax riders, saving approximately $6,223.
In evaluating the airport’s natural gas usage, TPI recommended switching from Large Choice to Small Choice accounts, which saved around $50,000 over seven years.
Using TPI as a holistic approach to savings kept the airport as cashflow positive around $15,000 per month, all while updating and modernizing their aesthetic look and feel.
